Give us a brief background of what you do?
Entrepreneurs as well as large and medium sized enterprises come to me because they would like to know how they can not only remain competitive in times of digitization, but to be able to dominate their market.
So, the question is what steps it takes strategically, in the implementation and in the accompaniment of change processes, to be the best in the market, to multiply your sales, and to continuously increase this result. As a rule, we then start with a keynote, in which I show new connections and the listeners are roused in an inspiring and humorous way. The “aha!” effects after the keynotes are so great that I am then addressed, “you are an inspirational keynote, but how do we do this best now, where do we start and can you help us with that?”
Accordingly, I then carry out an analysis to find out which form of support my counterpart specifically needs. As a rule, a few conversations with the entrepreneur or CEO and employees of the company are sufficient. Based upon this, I put together an individual package. My team then accompanies with the implementation, which consists of specialists on various topics. The advantage is that all services come from a single source, that knowledge from different areas is coordinated and that there are no contradictions. That is our unique selling point. This does not exist in this form anywhere else in the market.
I developed the concept because, as an entrepreneur, I was initially faced with this problem: You buy specialized knowledge on different topics from different providers and then have to see for yourself how to reconcile them. A lot of work that costs you a lot of time and is very confusing because you do not know who is right. With our concept, you do not lose time, you can start with measures that are already proven directly in the implementation and immediately start to increase your sales.
What are the key factors that got you to where you are today?
Successful companies always focus on people. The success of a company is determined by the people. I was fortunate to have understood that relatively early. If you not only adapt structures and optimize your workflows, etc. – of course, that’s part of it, too – but only if you manage to change the mindset of the people who work for you, only then will you be successful. And that is precisely what many are unable to do, which is why statistically 80% of change projects fail. They implement the measures but do not manage to change the mindset, which is why the change is not lived.
That’s because you need key factors to touch, inspire, and get people moving. We have made it our mission to provide entrepreneurs with these key factors.
What motivated you to launch a business?
I was just 4 years old when my sister, she is 16 years older than me, went out one day to dance Folklore, a hobby she was doing back then. But she did not come back. At some point I understood that she had left to be with the man that she loved. But at home, there was no understanding and it was a tragedy in another form.
My parents are from Turkey, and it was inconceivable to them. More important was what friends and acquaintances think or say, and they put the luck of their own daughter behind them. They did not realize that, because they really wanted the best for my sister, they wanted to protect her, and the man she had chosen did not seem good enough for them.
Consequently, they did everything they could to get my sister back home. When did that didn’t work, they expelled her from the family. I was not allowed to see my sister for a few years. This experience has been traumatic to me, which has led me, over the years, to wonder how it could be possible to help people jump over their own shadows, to go new directions, regardless of what the environment says.
This experience made me turn my passion into a mission and today, as an entrepreneur, to help others to succeed by accompanying them individually, along with my team, in the change processes. Especially in the context of digitization, our working world and the market will change drastically over the next 10-15 years.
Only those who recognize this today and still begin with it, initiate the changes in their own companies, will be among the winners tomorrow. Change processes cannot be implemented overnight. The whole thing takes 12-18 months to develop its full power. And technical progress is so rapid that you will not be able to close the gap in a few years’ time. The sooner you start, the safer your success. To show the connections, why that is so, and then to help to implement the necessary changes and bring them to life, we have committed ourselves to this. We see it as a social responsibility and that is what we, myself and my team, are doing to make our very personal contribution.
What 3 core advice principals will you give entrepreneurs that are wanting to start their own business?
- Entrepreneurship is something we do not learn at school. Therefore, from my point of view, it’s very important to start working, even while still an employee, to develop oneself into an entrepreneur and to learn new things for this. Questions such as positioning, etc. take much longer than initially thought. Any successful entrepreneur can confirm that.
- If you want to be one of the best, you have to learn from the best. Find a mentor or coach in time, from whom you can learn everything you need to be successful.
- Be prepared for the time and money needed to start a business. Anyone who claims otherwise is not serious. In addition to the investment and running costs for tools that you need to set up everything, and for example, to create range, you need a lot of new knowledge and personal development. For my apprenticeship alone, I invested around 100,000 EUR last year – just so you can get a feel for what’s possible in this area.
What does success mean to you?
For me, success is not only financial freedom, but happiness and satisfaction in all areas of my life. That’s why I am thankful every day for everything I already have, and by that, I don’t just mean material things, but also my wonderful husband, who backs me, and my lively son, Elias, who breathes joy into us with his six years of life. Without them, I would not be where I am today
What is your key to success?
Expressed relatively simply: be a role model. Do not preach, but live what you say. For each of us the journey goes on and on – I also do a lot to develop and learn more every day.
And no matter how you feel – always give 100%. For some time, I believed that I always give 120%, until the time I realized that it was only 120% if I compared myself to others. In relation to my actual potential, which is in me, it was perhaps just 70-80%. When I realized that and stopped comparing myself to others, my life changed. For me, that was one of the most valuable insights for success. Make the most of your potential and give your personal 100% every day!
